One of the most beautiful restaurants and event venues of the Balaton Uplands is located on Tóti Hill in the Káli Basin. Tölgyes Kúria (“Oak Mansion” in Hungarian) was named after the old oak trees surrounding the estate, and it was the former home of count Balint Szalai’s lover, Riza in 1896.
The love story continues, as Péter Vincze and Zita Ferenczi have been tirelessly working to renovate and redecorate the mansion. Their ethos are quality and impeccable hospitality, and their goal is to build relationships with not only their guests, but local farmers, artisans, foragers and hunters. They bring these relationships to their kitchen, where Gábor and Zsolt Vaskovics are creating exciting dishes. The menu changes bi-weekly, and that is the testimony to the creativity and beauty of quality ingredients and the team in the kitchen.

High quality, local ingredients, and family. We created Tölgyes Kúria with these values in mind, and this is how we work and live everyday. (Péter Vincze)
