János Németh manages a 12-hectare-estate, which started out as a small cellar built by his great-grandparents. His main focus is to make fine red wines following the Szekszárd wine region traditions, and provide the best possible quality to consumers. He harvests red grapes (Kékfrankos, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot) from 14 plots (the highest quality being Iván-völgy, Porkoláb-völgy, Görögszó), and depending on the year, the wines spend between 14-24 months in various oak barrels.
János loves making cuvées (Sygno, Porloláb and Syrius are must tries!), but his best bottles are normally very carefully mono-varietals.
