Tamás Trombitás is an acclaimed artist, who fell in love with the Káli Basin’s magic. He moved out of the city to open an atelier in Szentbékkálla. He also started to make wine, and made it his mission to help, and create spaces where local gastronomy traditions can thrive. He opened Mi a Kő restaurant with his wife in 2013. It is a “winebar, wine shop, restaurant and all of the above”. Their mission is to create simple, but amazing dishes from the best quality local ingredients (they only buy from the neighbouring villages). The restaurant also has its own orchard grove, full of delicious fruits. The menu is changing weekly and seasonally, and they aim to serve everything in a way that “everything can preserve their taste and nutritional value”.
The wine list has been created around their own winery, Trombitás Borház.
